Our very slow meander through David Lynch's back catalogue (the speed of which makes The Straight Story look like an instalment of the Fast and Furious franchise) led to us recording about Blue Velvet entirely unwittingly on the fortieth anniversary of the film's theatrical release - a coincidence nearly as unnerving as Dennis Hopper's performance (not really).
